“Biblical Studies Degree”
CHURCH HISTORY I
BSD 3 UNITS
Know the major themes, movements, issues, and leaders in this early period of the history of the Christian Church and its formation. Identify the names and terms important in the history of the Church in this period. Consider critically the variety of ways in which the Church interacted with surrounding cultures during this period.
PERSONAL EVANGELISM
BSD 3 UNITS
This course examines methods of effective witnessing, it provides students with practical experience in recognizing evangelistic opportunities and determining appropriate approaches.
MINISTERIAL PREPARATION I
BSD 3 UNITS
The course is designed to introduce the student to the proper development in presenting the gospel and caring for souls. Acquaint the student with proper preaching & teaching in hermeneutics. Acquaint the student with the proper methods of caring for souls modeled after Jesus Christ. Examine leading by example as a minister and layperson.
MINISTERIAL PREPARATION II
BSD 3 UNITS
Expose the student to authoritative literature on key topics of teaching, preaching and caring for souls giving them tools in teaching the word of God. Enable the student to acquire a synthetic view of the topic of caring for souls. The course will enable to student to know proper presentation of the Word of God. Prepare for any form of private or public speaking.
CHRISTIAN COUNSELOR
BSD 3 UNITS
This course is designed to help you understand the multi-faceted aspects of Christian Counseling. This specialization will allow you to learn more about counseling from a Christian perspective to be effective in helping yourself and others.
MIRACLES OF JESUS
BSD 3 UNITS
The student will learn in chronological order the miracles of Jesus Christ. This course is designed to show that Jesus’ miracles were distinctive; they were signs and mighty works which authenticated His divinity and His mission.
THEOLOGY I: GOD & HUMANITY
BSD 3 UNITS
This is an introductory course on theology and anthropology designed to provide a resource for Christian thought, life, and ministry by examining Christian beliefs about revelation, reason, and faith; the nature and authority of Scripture; theological method; and the existence of God.
STUDY YOUR BIBLE
BSD 3 UNITS
This course will assist the student with effective ways to study the Holy Bible. God's Word reveals the true values by which we must live if we are to solve relationship problems and the other seemingly insoluble dilemmas that threaten to overwhelm us.
PRAYER & SPIRITUAL WARFARE
BSD 3 UNITS
This course will assist the student to understand Christ’s position in the heavenly realms and that He has all things in this world under His authority. Also students are given instructions for fighting evil spirits. This course will also teach the student how to be alert and to resist the devil.
EFFECTIVE EVANGELISM
BSD 3 UNITS
In your heart, you earnestly desire to talk about Christ with your relatives, neighbors, and friends; but you’re uncertain of what to say or how to say it. This course will assist the student with tools to build confidence in sharing the Word of God. Many Christians are not confident of their ability to share the gospel because they’re unsure of what constitutes effective evangelism.
STUDY OF THE GOSPELS

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John wrote the story of Jesus Christ's life and teachings from different perspectives giving us a fuller view of our Savior. These four books give us historical and cultural differences and hindrances during biblical times helping the student learn and practically apply the four Gospels to their context.
STUDY OF ABRAHAM
BSD 3 UNITS
Abraham occupies an important place in history. This course will assist the student in learning the groups in the world that are direct descendants of Abraham. More importantly, in a very real sense, understanding Abraham as a spiritual father.

OLD TESTAMENT SURVEY
CAAD 3 UNITS
A general overview of the Old Testament. Attention is given to the outline and perspective of individual books and the history of their time.
NEW TESTAMENT SURVEY
CAAD 3 UNITS
An analysis of the New Testament books will be discussed, surmising their purpose, theme, author and date written. Special attention is given to the synoptic gospels.
CHURCH HISTORY II
CAAD 3 UNITS
The course is designed to introduce the student to the development and spread of Christianity from the Reformation to the present. Acquaint the student with the major persons, events, and issues in the development of the Church during this period of time. Learn major movements and trends during this period. Examine the major theological and historical themes, issues, and problems involved in Christianity during this era.
PAUL’S MISSIONARY JOURNEYS
CAAD 3 UNITS
Lectures and presentations that focus on the 1st, 2nd & 3rd missionary journey’s of the Apostle Paul. The student will learn the early training of Apostle Paul with the historical background on all three journeys. Acquaint the student with dates and times of each journey and with geographic locations of each journey.
1st & 2nd CORITHIANS
CAAD 3 UNITS
The course will share historical maps and facts about the church in Corinth. The course will offer understanding why in just a few years later Paul was receiving questioning letters and reports of major problems and concerns. The student will learn and understand various distresses in the church in this early biblical time and how they can help the contemporary church overcome times of distress.
ENGLISH I
CAAD 3 UNITS
This course is designed to help the student perfect the English language. Devoting time to elements of functional English, grammatical usage, sentence structure and paragraph construction.
FIVE FOLD MINISTRY GIFTS

This course will assist the student in understanding five distinct offices/gifts represented in the New Testament church as presented in Scripture and how the contemporary church can benefit.
OLD TESTAMENT & JESUS
CAAD 3 UNITS
Jesus was proclaimed clear and precise in the Old Testament. This course will introduce to the student how and where in the Old Testament Jesus was prophesied to come as the Messiah and soon coming King.
CHRISTIAN CONFLICT MANAGEMENT I

This course will help the student understand the complexity of conflict within the community of faith, family and friends and the approaches and methods useful in managing and resolving conflict.
HEALING MINISTRY

This course will introduce major healing events throughout Scripture and promote learning and imparting from Scripture on what God has always intended for His church both past and present.

PRINCIPLES OF WORSHIP
BA 3 UNITS
This course investigates a deeper understanding of worshipping God in Spirit and in Truth. It is designed to help the student understand the true meaning of pure worship fostering a renewed desire and longing to enter into the Presence of the Lord.
UNVEILING THE NAME OF JESUS
BA 3 UNITS
This course is a theological examination of the Jehovanistic titles detailing the names of God. Special attention is given to issues relative to the Godhead and the coming Messiah, Jesus Christ.
PAULINE EPISTLES
BA 3 UNITS
An in-depth study of the times, test and trials of the most prolific writer of the New Testament, the Apostle Paul. His conversion, letters, and writings will be explored in this character study.
HISTORY OF PENTECOST

A short historical review from the Apostolic Age to the Modern Era is investigated. Also, the History of Pentecostal organizations and the lives of Pentecostal stalwarts are examined.
HERMENEUTICS

This course helps the student develop the ability, through study, to gain proper understanding of Scripture. Various principles are treated as tools for biblical understanding. Biblical characteristics are examined which enhance scriptural clarity.
PRINCIPLES OF THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH

This course gives special attention to the foundational tenets of the Apostolic Faith. It is an important course for those wishing to understand and articulate the beliefs and concerns of this particular church movement.
GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

This course will help the student understand how God has created every person to be a supernatural spiritual being, with the capacity to function not only in a natural world, but also to access the realm of the spirit, access where God is, and to bring heaven to earth.

This course will allow the student to learn how to translate original Hebrew writings to understand the proper context of ancient biblical writings.

This course will allow the student to learn how to translate original Greek writings to understand the proper context of New Testament biblical writings.

This course examines the problems of ministry within the local congregation. It enables the student to better support and advance the mission and leadership of the local church.

CHRISTIAN CONFLICT MANAGEMENT II
BA 3 UNITS
This course will complement Christian Conflict Management I. This course will also help the student understand the tasks needed in becoming a conflict manager include rethinking gut theologies or having an awareness of one’s presuppositions practicing Christian assertiveness, and determining roles.

This is an introductory course on theology and Christology, Pneumatology, and Soteriology designed to provide a resource for Christian thought, examining the work of Jesus Christ, the doctrine and works of the Holy Spirit, and the doctrine of salvation, and Christian living.
THEOLOGY III: REVELATION & ESCHATOLOGY
BA 3 UNITS
The course will enable the student to better understand the truth about prophecy given to us from the book of Revelation. It is designed to promote an understanding of end time matters to gain an understanding of the importance of being ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ.
WORLD RELIGIONS
BA 3 UNITS
This course will show how religions and denominations often form slowly over time for many reasons. It will focus on the beliefs and doctrines of the major religions in the world.
MAN OF GOD
BA 3 UNITS
A biblical theology is explored in regards to the involvement of men in the church, the family and the society. It examines the role of men from Bible times to present in which living an excellent and balanced life is addressed.
WOMAN OF GOD
BA 3 UNITS
This course is designed to meet the needs of women in ministry, home, and church. It involves a comparative analysis of the women of the Bible with special attention given to today’s challenges balancing life in an everyday environment.
STUDY OF THE BOOK OF HEBREWS
BA 3 UNITS
This course will help the student to understand the relationship between Jewish and Gentile believers, and between Israel and the Church, Jesus & the angels. Hebrews provides us with the most extensive exposition on the high priestly ministry of our Lord Jesus.
STUDY OF THE BOOKS OF PSALMS
BA 3 UNITS
The student will learn to appreciate the Psalms for the contribution they have made historically to the church and for what they can do in our lives. The student will learn to approach the Psalms as a particular literary form, and become familiar with it if we are to properly understand and apply the Psalms to our own lives.
Degree Requirements
Lifeline Bible College currently offers three different degrees.
To earn a Biblical Studies Degree one must complete 30 units of BSD courses. May use BA and CAAD courses as electives.
To earn a Christian Associate Arts Degree one must complete 33 units of CAAD courses. May use BS and BA courses as electives.
