Chancellor

Dr. Charles D. Dorsey, Chancellor & Professor, BA, MDiv, DMin

​

Dr. Charles D. Dorsey earned a full basketball scholarship to play for Oral Roberts University (ORU) in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1983. He graduated and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in telecommunications from ORU in 1986. It is at ORU where he met his future wife Dr. Lisa Dorsey of 37 years. Dr. Charles and Lisa Dorsey have owned and operated Unique Home Health Services, Inc., a healthcare company that provides skilled health services in the home for the past 28 years. Dr. Dorsey worked for the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company of North America for 14 years and held several positions including Human Resource Administrator managing and serving over 1,200 employees.

 

Dr. Dorsey earned a Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry from King’s University in 2003. He participated in the Ecumenical Liturgy and Worship program sponsored by King’s University held at the Magdalen College, Oxford University, England. Dr. Dorsey earned a Masters of Divinity from the King’s University in 2005 and he earned his Doctorate of Ministry from the King’s University in 2012. Dr. Dorsey became a Licensed Minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World in 1992. He became an Ordained Elder with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World in 1995. He is now a Bishop with the Shield of Faith Fellowship of Churches, International. Dr. Charles and Dr. Lisa Dorsey founded and planted Lifeline Fellowship Christian Center on the campus of Azusa Pacific University in 2001. 

 

Dr. Dorsey assisted in city-wide prayer for the City of Azusa. He currently serves on the Chaplin staff as one of the City of Altadena Sheriff’s clergy representatives. He is also the founder of Lifeline Community Services and Economic Development Corporation which provides free food for over 250 people monthly in the San Gabriel Valley. Dr. Dorsey is the founder of Lifeline Bible College a fully accredited school of biblical learning. In 2014 he became president of the Shield of Faith Ministerial Alliance, under  the Shield of Faith Fellowship of Churches International, and he is currently completing a book entitled “Why Love.”

     

Dr. Charles and Lisa Dorsey have four Spirit-filled children, Charles Jr., Daniel, Leah, Chelsea and four adorable grandchildren Isabella, Aria, Charles III, and Zina. Dr. Charles Dorsey is leading a vibrant growing ministry now located in Altadena, California since 2004 where souls are being saved and minds renewed. In the city of Altadena, Dr. Dorsey and his church family are in the planning phase for expansion and ground breaking is in the works; to God be the Glory.
